Getting To Koh Lanta From Krabi Airport
SPEEDBOAT / MINIVAN TRANSFER
The fastest way to get here is a combination of speedboat and minivan, purchased in a through ticket. First you’re taken by minivan to the speedboat pier, then by speedboat to Ban Saladan. After that you’re taken by car to your destination

PASSENGER FERRY
Take a taxi to Krabi Town (Klong Jirat pier) and get on the passenger ferry to Ban Saladan. When you arrive you’ll need to take a taxi to your villa

PRIVATE TAXI / MINIVAN
You’ll also find plenty of these at the airport, who will take you directly to Koh Lanta in a modern air conditioned vehicle. For 3 people a taxi is suitable, for more you should go for a private minivan (seats up to 8 people plus luggage).
Due to the remote location of some Koh Lanta Villas, some drivers from Krabi get lost once they get to the island, leaving you sitting in the minivan while they drive around trying to find your villa. GPS is not widely used by the drivers here.

PRIVATE CAR HIRE
There are several car hire companies at the airport, and once you’ve left you can reach Koh Lanta in about 2 hours. Head south in the direction of Trang, and after about 35km you will see a right hand turning for Koh Lanta. Follow this road for about another 20km and you come to the car ferry. Buy a ticket and drive on, and you’ll land on Koh Lanta Noi, follow the road then drive over the bridge to Koh Lanta Yai.
From here it depends on the location of your villa or apartment, but as Koh Lanta Yai is only 30km long, you’re not far away.
